Create a Graph

I made this pie chart using Create a Graph. I wish I would have known about this website a few weeks ago when my students were working with different types of graphs. This would have been a great way to get them thinking and creating their own graph. I would like the students to come up with their own information whether it is by a survey or research and having them create their own graph based of the data they received. I liked this website a lot, however I was kind of confused because I could not find a sign up page. I ended up having to save this graph to my hard drive and inserting it that way.

TOONDOO

I made a short cartoon on my first year at Bowie Middle School and how it seemed to me. As stressful as my first year was, I learned so much and had such great teachers to work with a learn from! I was lucky because it was everyones first year to work with a new principal. She was tough but really believed in all of us and helped to turn our school around!

We use this website in my school district. I have had students send me essays through Google Docs and also did our student council ballot this way. Here is an example of a basic student council ballot.

I think this website is really great. I have not had enough time to really search the website but I did see that you could have an app on your Iphone as well. That way wherever you are you have the websites right at your fingertips!

I have found a link on youtube that goes great with my content area and what my students are learning right now. I am teaching my students simple one and two step equations and when to isolate the variable. This Math 4-8 generalist link is great because it slows it down for the students and they see it visually from someone else other than me.
